Our view: Buyers, whether listed groups, cash-rich diversifiers, services firms or institutional capital, are paying for assets that fit a clear thesis, so founders who back their price with credible earnings, independent valuation and a recurring or strategic asset will negotiate from strength.

  1. Southeast Asia · Industrial automation and semiconductor equipment · RM15.3 million for a 51% stake

Edelteq to take 51% of Penang factory automation firm Nixma for RM15.3 million

Edelteq Holdings Bhd will invest RM15.3 million for a 51% stake in Nixma Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, paying RM4.5 million cash for 15% from the existing shareholders and RM10.8 million to subscribe for new shares representing a further 36%. The deal values Nixma at about RM30 million, or five times a guaranteed FY2026 audited net profit of at least RM6 million, with the existing shareholders keeping 49% and management continuing to run daily operations.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

This is a textbook founder partial exit: a listed buyer takes control, most of the money goes into the company for expansion, and the founders keep 49% with a profit guarantee and a five-year stay. Founders of profitable engineering businesses should expect listed acquirers to anchor price to a guaranteed earnings figure, so the credibility of next year's numbers matters as much as the multiple.

  2. Southeast Asia · Mining: nickel · US$79 million (Rp1.39 trillion)

Abadi Nusantara Hijau Investama targets US$79 million acquisition of nickel miner Bumanik

PT Abadi Nusantara Hijau Investama Tbk plans to acquire 100% of PT Bukit Makmur Istindo Nikeltama (Bumanik), a nickel ore miner in North Morowali, Central Sulawesi, through subsidiaries PT Daya Unggul Raya and PT Gemilang Padma Raya for US$79 million, equal to Rp1.39 trillion. An independent appraisal valued 100% of Bumanik at Rp1.439 trillion (US$81.3 million), and the deal equals 26.4% of the acquirer's consolidated equity as of August 31, 2026.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

Indonesian listed vehicles are still assembling resource portfolios by buying private operating companies outright, and pricing close to an independent appraisal gives sellers a clear reference point. For founders, the lesson travels beyond mining: a third-party valuation agreed early narrows the negotiating range and speeds a listed buyer's internal approvals.

  3. Southeast Asia · Mining: metals · US$22.01 million (Rp397.6 billion)

Bumi Resources buys Australia's Mount Margaret Mining for US$22.01 million

PT Bumi Resources Tbk completed the acquisition of 100% of Mount Margaret Mining Pty Ltd on October 23, 2026, through its wholly owned subsidiary Bumi Resources Australia Pty Ltd, for US$22.01 million (Rp397.6 billion). The company described the deal as part of its business transformation and diversification strategy, adding to Australian holdings that already include Wolfram Limited, Jubilee Metals and Loyal Metals Ltd.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

Southeast Asian groups with cash from legacy businesses are diversifying through a series of small, bolt-on purchases rather than one transformational deal. That pattern favours founders of sub-scale but well-run assets, because serial acquirers move faster on deals that fit an existing thesis and a familiar structure.

  4. Asia · Financial technology: banking software

Tech Mahindra acquires Finastra's cash management product suite

Tech Mahindra has acquired Finastra's cash management suite, comprising Fusion Cash Management, Fusion Virtual Accounts and Fusion Liquidity Management, including the intellectual property and related assets, with the value not disclosed. Product engineering and customer success staff move into Tech Mahindra's Banking Products team, and existing clients are meant to keep platform access, services and support.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

Services firms are buying product lines outright to own intellectual property and recurring revenue, and a large vendor's carve-out of non-core products creates exactly that supply. Founders of software businesses in the region should note that a buyer's existing implementation partnership with them is often the shortest route to an acquisition conversation.

  5. Global · Real estate: industrial · $61.20 in cash per common share

LXP Industrial Trust shareholders approve acquisition by Brookfield and CPP Investments

LXP Industrial Trust shareholders approved the merger at a special meeting on October 26, 2026, with more than 99% of votes cast in favour, representing about 82% of outstanding common shares. Common shareholders will receive $61.20 in cash per share, with closing expected on November 2, 2026, after which the shares will no longer be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

Large pools of private and pension capital remain willing to take listed logistics platforms private for cash, which keeps demand for warehouse and industrial exposure firm. For Southeast Asian founders in logistics and industrial services, institutional appetite for the asset class supports strategic interest in the operating businesses that serve it.
