Our view: large acquirers are buying specialist assets such as accredited labs, payments platforms, consumer brands and distribution platforms for capabilities and reach, so founders of private Singapore and Southeast Asian companies with distinctive assets should expect strategic interest and well-structured, earn-out-heavy offers.

  1. Global · Testing, inspection and certification

UL Solutions completes acquisition of Eurofins Scientific's electrical and electronics business

UL Solutions Inc. completed its acquisition of the electrical and electronics business of Eurofins Scientific SE on 1 October 2026, adding testing, compliance and certification services in electromagnetic compatibility and wireless testing, electrical safety and medical devices. The deal adds laboratories and accreditations in EMEA, Asia and the United States to UL Solutions' global network.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

global testing and certification groups keep buying specialist lab networks to gain accreditations and geographic reach instead of building them. Founder-owned testing and compliance businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia with recognised accreditations fit squarely into that buy-instead-of-build logic.

  2. Global · Payments and fintech · Initial payment of approximately $143 million of cash, plus contingent consideration of up to $174 million, for an aggregate maximum consideration of approximately $317 million

Shift4 agrees to acquire Canadian pay-by-bank provider Paramount Commerce

In August 2026 Shift4 signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Paramount Commerce Group Limited and its subsidiaries, an account-to-account payments company whose core market is Canada and which serves iGaming, online sports betting, remittance, billing and digital exchanges. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

with more than half of the maximum price contingent, this structure shows how buyers bridge valuation gaps in fast-growing payments businesses. Founders of fintech and payments companies in the region should expect earn-outs to feature heavily and negotiate the measurement terms as hard as the headline price.

  3. Global · Consumer health and personal care · $3.50 in cash and 0.14625 shares of Kimberly-Clark common stock for each Kenvue share

    Kimberly-Clark completes acquisition of Kenvue

Kimberly-Clark Corporation completed its acquisition of Kenvue on 2 November 2026, and Kenvue shares stopped trading at market open that day. The combined company has 10 billion-dollar brands, including Huggies, Listerine, Neutrogena, Tylenol and Kleenex, and targets about $2.1 billion of run-rate synergies.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

global consumer majors are consolidating for scale, paying in a mix of shares and cash and leaning on synergy targets to justify the price. Integrations this large tend to trigger portfolio reviews, so founders of Southeast Asian consumer-health and personal-care brands should expect both renewed strategic interest and sharper competition.

  4. Global · Media and streaming · $95.30 in cash and 0.9799 shares of FOX Class A common stock for each Roku share

Fox Corporation completes acquisition of Roku

Fox Corporation completed its acquisition of Roku, Inc. on 6 November 2026, with Roku shares ceasing to trade on Nasdaq and former Roku stockholders owning about 26% of FOX common stock. Roku founder Anthony Wood joins the FOX board and co-chairs the new FOX Digital Platforms division, and FOX expects about $400 million in run-rate cost synergies within two years of closing.

    The Growth Alliance Capital view

established media owners are buying distribution platforms outright to own the audience relationship, paying heavily in cash to do it. For Southeast Asian founders in digital media, ad-tech and streaming infrastructure, owning the platform layer and not just the content is what draws strategic buyers.
